Products
CMS are available with different performance levels and offer excellent gas separation in absorption within PSA systems, allowing the separation and production of nitrogen and the upgrading of biogas (CO2 disposal).
CMS have a homogeneous microporous system and thanks to their high hardness also minimise dust and abrasion during operation.
Our specialised team is available to provide customer-specific technical advice ad hoc and recommend the product that best suits your specific needs.
These products deal with gas absorption through PSA, VSPA and TSA systems. Different types of zeolite molecular sieves are available, with different shapes and structures. It is important to take specialist advice when choosing the most suitable product. Specifically, zeolite molecular sieves allow the separation and drying of technical and biogenic gases: the separation and acquisition of oxygen and methane, the removal of odorants, the drying of gases and the elimination of mercaptans.
Purichem offers different types of activated carbon in order to better respond to specific customer needs and to optimise plant operation.
Our specialised team can also recover the spent activated carbon, replacing and disposing of it according to current regulations.
Our products:
- Granular activated carbonsuitable for purifying both drinking and industrial water and also fluids of various kinds. There are specific particle sizes suitable for different requirements.
- Activated carbon powderideal for chemical industries and industrial processing. These are activated carbons ground in different sizes.
- Activated charcoal in pressure-resistant pellet in pellet available in different sizes and suitable for many different functions:
- Purification and drying of absorbent gases
- Removal of gas traces
- Desulphurisation of biogas and gas
Purichem offers activated carbon filters for biogas plants: the great efficiency of these filters results in cost savings for the company.
Replacement filters for activated carbons are made from steel, are compact and easily replaceable.
The single or double-chamber filters are intended to eliminate hydrogen sulphide. They are also made from steel, are available in different sizes and are low maintenance.

Catalysts for the purification of industrial gases have a pellet or spherical structure. Different types are available and the type of metal, size and concentration will vary depending on the application.
Catalysts enable the removal of oxygen from hydrogen gases, nitrogen-containing gases, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons from oxygen gases.
For the cleaning of absorbent gases, Purichem also offers honeycombs: a modular system of ceramic bodies coated with activated carbon, available in various forms. These products are noted for their high absorption efficiency, low flow resistance, high mechanical resistance and for being low-dust..
The elimination of water in the gaseous phase is a very important activity in industry. Activated alumina has a high absorption capacity, physical and chemical resistance and is regenerable.
Purichem offers aluminium balls for air drying: these products offer high resistance to abrasion and breakage and have an excellent internal surface and static absorption capacity.
Ceramic balls can be used in different ways, mainly in the petrochemical industry and refineries to protect and support the adsorbent bed and for flow control.
These are a wide range of hydrophilic dessicants, which are highly absorbent and long-lasting and used for the drying of technical gases and air. Silica gel effectively removes any trace of moisture from the gases.
They are supplied as hard or granular spherical beads with a large surface area, have a low level of abrasion and high compressive strength.
White filter material consisting of activated spherical alumina.
This product is used as a removal of fluorides and phosphates from drinking water, in accordance with the UNI EN 13753:200 standard "Products used for the treatment of water intended for human consumption – Granular active alumina". The product has a typical sphere diameter of 1-2.5 mm
MAK-8 (IMPREGNATED SPHERICAL ACTIVE ALUMINA)
Purple filter material consisting of activated spherical alumina impregnated with potassium permanganate. This product is mainly used for the purification of air and gases from hydrogen sulphide, sulphur oxides, olefins, formaldehyde and mercaptans.
ANTHRACITE
Natural anthracite treated by washing, drying and grinding in different particle sizes. It is a filter material from highly selected raw material, excellent for both pressure and gravity filters. Its high purity, fixed carbon content of 90% makes it suitable for the filtration of drinking water, process and wastewater. It is used for the removal of suspended solids, algae and sources of turbidity in the treatment of water of different hardness, drinking and process, pool water and acid-alkali liquids.
QUARTZITE
The ground quartz is produced from polyhedral crystalline quartz of alluvial origin.
It is heat-resistant to 1730°C without precombustion and is pressure-resistant to 2000 kg/cm2. The high homogeneity of the product is guaranteed by a regular control of the processing, washing, drying and sieving cycles. Its specific characteristics make it suitable for use as a filtering medium par excellence in the treatment of drinking water, wastewater, process liquids, swimming pools and aquariums.
Available in different particle sizes
SPHERICAL QUARTZ
The grey spherical quartz is produced from round mono-crystalline quartz of alluvial origin, with a SiO2 content of 99%, hardness which according to the Mohr scale is equal to 7.
FERRIC OXIDE-HYDROXIDE
Filter material that comes in the form of granules.
It is produced by patented processes and used for the removal of arsenic from water.
The product is compliant with the European standard EN15029:2006 "Products used for the treatment of water intended for human consumption – Ferric oxide-hydroxide".
PYROLUSITE
Pure manganese dioxide mineral used in sand filters for the removal of iron and manganese in the purification of water.
Zeolite Naturale – CLINOPTINOLITE
Natural zeolite produced by granulation, sieving and dedusting of selected batches.
It has one of the highest ion exchange capacities in the field of natural filter materials, in particular with respect to the ammonium ion, and is therefore particularly suitable for the removal of ammonia from water.
